Mariachi Mi de San Diego

MARIACHI MI DE SAN DIEGO is led by accomplished musician Fernando Ortiz, a native of Guadalajara, Mexico. By the age of 21, Fernando joined Mariachi Sol de Mexico de Jose Hernandez, where he began his career as a professional Mariachi trumpet player. He has spent the years since working with Mariachi groups from Jalisco to Los Angeles, performing alongside artists such as Vicente Fernandez, Alejandro Fernandez, Pepe Aguilar, Christian Castro, Gloria Trevi, Lupillo Rivera, Aida Cuevas & Lila Downs…just to name a few. He now continues his passion for Mariachi as the director of Mariachi Mi, delighting guests and performing for special events all over San Diego and beyond.
