Oscar Aragon

Oscar Aragon began his career as a flamenco and classical guitarist studying under master guitarist Fernando Martinez in his hometown of Guadalajara, México. Oscar began performing at fine clubs and galleries throughout México by the young age of 17 and in 1984 was invited to perform as a soloist at the Teatro Degollado, located in the heart of Guadalajara. Upon moving to San Diego he played at venues such as the Talbao Flamenco and the Lyceum Theater. Oscar moved to Spain to study with the great masters of flamenco guitar, Marote and Felipe Maya. Since returning to San Diego, he has performed for countless events, clubs including the America’s Cup Races and in such popular venues as Café Sevilla, where he leads the authentic flamenco show at Tablao Café Sevilla.
